About

You can subscribe to an RSS feed for this site.

The purpose of this site is:

  1. To explore the realities of geophysical fieldwork.
  2. To interpret and clarify disaster-science relevant to current events.
  3. To develop my science writing, hopefully improving my clarity and fluency.

As this is a voluntary activity, the topics covered are biased towards my personal interests: field geophysics, physical sciences, natural disasters, fluid dynamics, space and planetary science. Some posts are very brief, quick links and comments on stories I come across. Others are more detailed reviews of current events, field notes from recent trips, or literature surveys on a particular topic. If you find your own curiosity piqued, leave a comment, question, or request for a topic-specific post.
